Engineered hardwood recommendations

Hi everyone - we are mid-renovation and looking for recommendations for hardwood or engineered wood that would be super durable for toddlers and dogs. We were going to just do a Malibu Wide Plank but I’m seeing some negative reviews now. Any thoughts? thanks!

Super durable? Lower your expectations or wish list and ignore the ridiculous over marketing hype from this nutty industry AND what you read on the internet. All hardwoods will ding dent and scratch. Ones with character will be less visible.
