where to end backsplash???

Struggling to figure out where we should end our backsplash - our contractor mentioned that usually people end it where the top cabinet ends but at our coffee bar, the top cabinet ends in the middle of the light switch. I feel like that would look weird. Should we bring it all the way to the moulding??

    I would have your contractor move that electrical box over a couple of inches, so you can end the backsplash right. The way it is right now, both ways will look way off. Better to fix it right, now, than to have to look at it for many years.
