What do you actually need in your home that you don't have a designated space for now? Who would have sat at a new table and two chairs that would not otherwise sit at the kitchen island across from it? Do you need more eating space, more storage, more sitting areas? If you truly don't have a functional need for the space, I'd put a console table and lamp, or a chest of drawers.

Since there is no electrical outlet, I’d put an upholstered bench if more seating is needed or a storage cabinet if more storage is needed.

One chair and a small table perhaps. Maybe a bench with shoe storage. Lots of possibilities.

IMO where is this in the house? Do you need a chair for sitting while taking shoes off or on? It is hard to see what this connects to . If this is part of your entry use it for that. If more part of the kitchen then a liquor cabinet might make more sense.

We had a similar space in our last house and put a sideboard there.

It looks fine, but no one will want to sit there. A sideboard/buffet/dresser will look just as good and actually get used. People will just toss stuff on the chaise and it will no longer look fine.

That looks perfect. Simple decor to fill the space. Bingo.

Like the idea of a storage cabinet of some sort, with nice seasonal decor on top.

A hope chest will give you seating and storage.

I agree with others that the bench looks nice but probably won’t get used. It seems a small sideboard for storage is a better look. Everyone in USA is always looking for more storage…..you don’t need any?
