We have a wide plank pine floors? How can I get this look?

    You said you used oak but you said stain the pine. I don't understand.

    "Stain the Pine and Stencil it" was in response to the question above, by the person who has Pine Floors. We used White Oak in this home.

    The information that you have provided has been fantastic to this point. However, my next challenge is finding a company that is experienced with applying the stain in this pattern. Do you have a recommendation for a company in Richmond, VA? Does your contractor have staff that works in Richmond?

    Hello again Mahoney Builders, our flooring is being installed next week, sanded and then stained to match the picture. We are installing an unfinished maple wood. Is there any special preparation required before staining?

    Maple is very hard to stain dark. Maple has a very tight grain. Please call me with any questions. You should use Oak to get this look.
