kitchen cabinet design

I am exploring the most complimentary upper cabinet choice for sink area, we are widening the opening( there is brick on the back side). Below is my kitchen area and a couple of drawing. Obviously there so many ways to go. My home is informal and is open for the most part. this is my last thing to choose, I am open to other options including solid cabinets or no cabinets, I appreciate your eye on this.

Perhaps you are more careful than me, but I would not install cabinets that rested on the countertop near a sink. Mine would get ruined over time by water.

Can you just pass on this decision for now and order some later after everything else is installed?

Definately NO cabinets! Protect that incredible view at all costs - including loss of storage space.

Most importantly selecting the right sink is an often-overlooked but crucial aspect of kitchen design. Given that your kitchen sink will be one of the most frequently used features in the space, it's worth taking the time to explore your options. Many people still opt for traditional double bowl sinks, but there's a growing trend towards more versatile workstation single bowl sinks that offer increased functionality for food preparation and cleanup. No matter what you choose, make sure it aligns with your daily needs and long-term expectations for your kitchen. Selecting the right brand of faucet can eliminate splashing too!

I would do no cabinets. Are you able to eliminate the skinny section between the doorway and the sink, or is that a support?

IMO neither a design build or a sink maker is the right choice for kitchen desin. I need to see a to scale floor plan of your space do it on graph paper all measurements clearly marker every window marked and post here in jpeg format in a comment DO NOT start another post. There is no way to help without that plan. Your pics look like a small space the drwings look like a huge space . I never like cabinets sitting on counters and honeastly make no sense .All base cabinets should be drwers for sure. Post the plan and get some real help from actual kitchen designers.

No cabinets, if possible structurally. Beautiful faucet. A wide ledge topped with countertop material along the sink wall for potted herbs which look like they will receive lots of sun.

I second Patricia - and FYI, "Rachiele Custom Sinks" has been spamming a lot of threads with generic sink comments, etc., lately.

I wouldn’t have cabinets over my head at the sink (just a recessed light) and cabinets that come down to the countertop can be annoying. I would change those too.

I’m assuming the island has some storage that can compensate for the ones I would remove from those two locations.

    Do you have a pantry?
