This subject always seems to generate a discussion :-) Sunbeckia is a marketing series of Rudbeckia hirta developed for their compact habit and very large flowers. R. hirta will behave differently under different situations but it is a tender and short lived perennial under the best of conditions in mild climates however tends to act as an annual in colder zones (below 7).

It could reappear next season but in zone 5, I wouldn't bank on it.

most likely a full sun plant .. so it might not thrive in the house ... but for a buck 21... why not try.. if you have a very bright window ...

if you happen to have some systemic bug granules.. treat the plant outside.. before you bring it in the house...

z5 is rather diverse.. from ground freeze MI and ME.. to down south MO etc.. to mountains of CO ...

zone is just predicted winter low temps.. but winter is a lot more than just temp.. and those variables might vary like the zone,.

I'm not sure a specific location is going to provide any more meaningful information. How Rudbeckia hirta performs anywhere is very unpredictable. It could act as an annual, it could reseed and reappear next season or it could act as a short-lived - maybe 2 or 3 seasons at most - perennial. Neither hardiness zones or specific location seem to have significant bearing on how it behaves. You pays your money and you takes your chances!! 😒

And I would not predict much success trying to overwinter it indoors.

Ken can clarify for himself of course, but I think his comment refers to future posts as well. Maybe not needed in this instance, usually good info to have when asking questions about true perennials, hostas and trees as well.
