We need a little more information for an effective response. Is this a shower you are building or one that is already built?

With a custom one you can get the exact size you prefer. Mine is the size of my 12” by 24 “ tile. It would probably cost a bit more.

Brand new build

What waterproofing system is your tiler using? That determines what is compatible with it.

Tile hasn’t begun yet so I’m not sure

You don't know what waterproofing system your tiler uses? https://whytile.com/qualified-labor/#:~:text=Qualified%20labor%20refers%20to%20labor,Portfolio%20of%20completed%20installations

The tile sub hasn’t started yet. This is a new build. Still studs

GC’s tend to hire cheap and unskilled. You need to be far more involved with the nuts and bolts of your build. That is more important than the pretty stuff.

It is good to plan ahead and explore options in all the details..if only to be able to describe your wants and needs best..but really to save time by learning all the options..I will say that over the years the niche option is one of the worst features with function and installation failures…

things like window sills or even installing a built-in bench is a better option…the main problem being so many types of tiles being used in showers …that installers do not have a standard way to deal with them…plus you are still limited on what will fit in the niche you pick…i would go for a window sill or built-in shower bench ….for a more perfect …versatile..and more aesthetic ….result.

Interesting. What is the brand?
