Kinda quiet here re Texas gardening, but maybe someone is around.

I've harvested a bunch of ripe Turks Cap berries, and I'd really like to germinate the seeds. The instructions online are mixed and confusing. Wildflower Center just says to plant 'em. Other sources say that you need to do months of warm-moist followed by months of cool-moist treatment. Some say they'll pop right up when planted. Others say they may sit for months before germinating. Advice, or pointer to advice? The seeds, as they come out of the shriveled pods, are quite moist. Do they need to be dried out?
