It isn’t a replacement for a toaster. No convection oven is. Bags will always split in a MW from the steam buildup. Put the veggies in a Pyrex bowl. Using this isn't any different than any other MW, or small capacity toaster oven. Your expectations may be a bit skewed.

I have one of those and it would never have occurred ro me to use it as a toaster. I still cook frozen veg the same way I did with my previous countertop microwave - dump in a bowl, set the timer for 6 minutes and they're done.

What are the frozen vegetable bags? Store-bought such as Green Giant Simply Steam? Orient the bag with the steam-release perforations upward as the package directs. The default doneness sensitivity may be too high, try adjusting the sensor setting to Less Done if that's an option, check the instruction manual for details (the adjustment is normally done each time a cycle is run).

There are several posts about this appliance on this forum. I installed one in our new house Jan 2022. Works great as a MW drawer, but sucks at all the other functions. Other owners have had similar reviews. Had it checked by service and it is operating correctly ... just under powered and/or poor design to function as anything else than just a MW.
