Recommendations for UV window treatments

Hello!

I'm located in San Francisco, CA and I'm looking to have my windows treated with UV blocking film to protect our hardwood floors and furniture from fading.

Has anyone had UV treated windows for a while that can confirm it slows sun damage to floors and furniture? And does anyone have a company they recommend using?

I have used window film before and it definitely helped to cut back on heat gain through the glass. This was about 10 years ago in our previous house, so I don't remember the brand, but it was one of the major companies. Make sure you see samples of the film to understand how much light it will block and how it will look from inside and outside. The sales guy brought samples we could hold up to our windows.

Make sure you look into your windows warranty paperwork ... many will state that any film added to the windows will void the warranty. Buyer beware.
