This is one of several drywall questions I have, hoping some experts can chime in. Our condo in SW FL was a victim of Hurricane Ian one year ago. A remediation company removed any and all water damaged drywall, and a different company re-drywalled and texturized the area to match the existing drywall. We, as owners, are responsible for the rest. The walls were freshly painted in 2019. My question is, how do we go about painting the patched areas to make them blend in with the rest of the wall? Given it has been texturized (sprayed I think?) -- do we need to prime it first or just roll it with laytex paint?

Here is an example. Ignore the drywall damage above the valance of the blinds (that is a different post/question). The drywall to the right of the sliding glass door is the new, texturized drywall.

Here is another example, although not the best example

as it is the laundry room (which was NOT freshly painted it 2019) -- the "brown" area near the floor is new drywall.
