It's been MANY years, but I grew Ma and White Ma Perkins eons ago. Both were healthy, floriferous, wonderfully scented and a complete pleasure to grow in that Zone 9b mid desert garden. At that time, only Vintage offered White Ma Perkins but traditional Ma Perkins could still be purchased as a body bag bare root in spring.

I have it and am fond of it. According to my records, I got it in 2001 from Vintage. It's still going strong. I suppose I'd say that it's not a top fave, and I probably wouldn't go to a lot of trouble to replace it, but it has sentimental value, having grown it for 22 years! I didn't realize it was hard to find... it seems like something RU would carry. I've never tried making a cutting of it, but I guess maybe now I should try :-D

All out of stock, but I signed up just in case. @roseseek Thanks for mentioning the body bags. I don't often look through those, but I'll do it this spring just in case Ma Perkins shows up among them. @susan9santabarbara I have a few plants that old or older and, yes, after having them that long you do get attached. Good luck with the cuttings! I have been trying that lately with my scarce ones, too.
