An air handle by itself has no SEER or SEER2 rating. The rating is assigned by the manufacturer for a specific model of air handler model and condenser combination. The combinationas approved by the manufacturer can be found on the AHRI Directory. Each combination is assigned an AHRI Directory reference number.

A SEER2 14.3 is equivalent to a SEER 15 rating using the test conditions allowed prior to 2023.

The Energy Star requirements for new new construction beginning 1/1/2024 is here. As stated above, the requirement (unchanged for 2024) is 15 SEER for Zone 3 (Hot Climates including Georgia).
