Magic eraser!

Would the Magic Eraser all sand off the wall paint or dull the sheen of the paint in that spot? (it is pretty much just fine sandpaper, after all)

Yes to the above.

Or….buy a small can of paint. I always keep touch up paint.

I’m more intrigued by the ”mascara mishap” 😁 I find toothpaste residue on side wall by my sink so I try to be mindful & keep my mouth closed when using electric toothbrush….

Have you tried alcohol or hydrogen peroxide?

I was rushing and when I went to stick the wand back in the tube I missed.

Someone needs to make a magic erase sponge the size of a q-tip so you can get in tiny spaces without rubbing off too much paint. Same with sand paper in q-tip size. I have that problem right now.

You may have to paint over it but have you tried makeup remover?

@porkchop_z5b_MI Thanks for satisfying my nosiness. Your explanation makes perfect sense to me. Really though, it’s good the wand hit the wall & not your eye - I’ve done that bit when rushing…big ouch & not the best look with red eye when rushing to leave.

ETA: What really hurts like a mother is stabbing yourself in the eye with a metal eyelash comb... and it hurts for days afterwards. Fortunately it's been many years since I've had that particular accident (and I rarely use that thing anymore anyway)

Well, now there's an obvious solution, LOL!

I do have some dual-phase remover in the cupboard, so I dabbed that on heavily with a Q-tip, let set sit a few seconds, then went to work at it with a dampened nubby towel. It took some rubbing, but it worked!! Thank you - I never even thought of that!

I thought it might work only because i had to remove lipstick from a wall one time……..don’t ask☺️

Tangental: I've wondered about Magic Eraser. If you use it on porcelain (tub, sink, etc.), won't it scratch the finish? I use only Bon Ami, and never scouring powder, to protect the porcelain -- no point when DH insists on also using the Magic Eraser, huh?

@porkchop_z5b_MI Just saw your added note about the metal eyelash comb….that hit home as I recently acquired one & am liking it better than the plastic brush things I use to separate eyelashes. There’s a caution on the package about using care around eyes as tines have sharp points. I have been careful but after reading your experience will be extremely careful!

Anna’s was my first thought! A little micellar water on a cotton ball, heck, a square of toilet paper lol.

I apologize for not answering yesterday; I have out of town company and we were out.

I have successfully removed similar with magic eraser without ruining the paint. Takes a light hand, but it can be done.

We find that mineral spirits removes everything from everything without damaging the surface. Great for removing stuck-on labels.
