Garage baseboard

Hello-

I noticed our contractor used sheetrock as garage baseboard to cover the cement blocks.

I am just wondering if this is the right material for a garage that often gets wet during snowy midwest winters.

Your feedback is apprectiated- Thank you!

To me that looks like Azek, which would work very well if it is.

^ in addition to not being drywall, there is a gap at the floor which most garages at worst could have some minor water, which the gap accomodates. However, the door looks to not have a threshold nor weatherstripping which would not meet code.

It also appears to be a 3/4" jamb with an applied door stop which would also make it not meet code in most jurisdictions that require a 45 minute fire door and frame. Does this door swing out (into the garage)? As that is also typically code.
