You may love your two consoles, but you only need one. Is there somewhere else you can put the second one--dining room, sofa table? The two look odd side by side. Side note: why isn't rug centered on fireplace?

@housegal - thank you so much for all the feedback. I appreciate that time you put into it. I do want to keep the other table because we find that traffic flow works best if we use that spot for beverage set up. If we were to get rid of it, what would we put there? I was wondering if we hung floating shelves to the left of the TV, but not completely in line with the other table if it would visually connect what's now 2 separate wall segments.

Re: the rug . The fireplace isn't in the center of the room. I do want to push the rug over a few inches to align with the left edge of stone, but there's no way to make it centered on fireplace given where sofa needs to be for TV viewing.

Hang your TV jut 12" higher than the console surface instead of sitting it on the console. As it is now, it looks like a big monolith. With it hung the strip of painted wall between the console and bottom of the TV will really make a huge difference.

Can you post a pic of the wall to the left of the console table with iron base? I'd hang the pictures above the iron console. Put a tall floor plant with an attractive container between the table and the TV console. Pull it away from the wall slightly so things don't looks so flat against the wall.

I'm not suggesting you use the fern on the iron stand, but just move it over there and look at it to get some sense of what greenery between the two areas would feel like.

@kendrah - great suggestion about raising TV off the console. That might even make the bottom in line with the other table, which could be nice. I will post more photos shortly when I get home. Thank you!!

This is why you should always show all four walls even if asking about only one part of a room. To have a harmonious room, every feature should relate to other features. Is there a reason you've boxed in your fireplace with what looks like plywood? Sorry, but it looks odd. Can you remove all the wood add-ons and just have a wood mantel? Consider a medium gray accent wall and add a painting to the left of the TV console or add floating shelves in a finish that matches the floors like so:

P.S. If you're determined to have a wood add-on then remove the wood slats where they are, and the weird wood around the fireplace and and have a wall or partial wall of wood slats behind the TV.. But that could overwhelm what's a very soft looking room. otherwise. Wood slats like that are most often seen in MCM houses, which isn't the style of your room. Other problem is that you want to link wood slats to your flooring, but you have a totally different wood finish on your TV console. It's a bit of a muddle of finishes and not as clean looking and harmonious as it should be.

@housegal200. I appreciate the feedback, but while it might look weird, were are happy with the fireplace, except for the wood grain. It's solid oak, not plywood.. And it reminds me of my old kitchen cabinets from the 80s. I wanted walnut not oak, but there it is. I'm going to restain all the wood gray, but keep the design.

What I really want help with is the TV wall, specifically how to handle the space between the tables. I like the floating shelf idea... Do you recommend hanging them centered within the space between the tables with art over the smaller table, or should I hang various length shelves and have some extend over each of the tables? I like the charcoal gray accent wall to soften the TV. Would you recommend painting the entire wall or just the area behind the TV console? Thanks so much for your ideas.. I'm a little stuck.
