The nature of your question suggests that you aren't yet familiar with the myriad factors that determine hood system choice (and that of the related make-up air system). I urge you to review the many topics on this forum that address "hood" and "MUA" to develop insight about these factors. There are some recent ones that can be viewed by scrolling through recent topics without a formal search, and at least one provides references worth reading.

After this basic research, you will at least know what information you would have had to provide with your question to troll for a relevant answer.

While I can comment on configurations that can be predicted to be effective or ineffective, the only brands I can recommend are those I've owned, which limits me to Wolf, specifically the Pro Island hood. Before that we had a Litton (I think) cooking center with its totally inadequate hood system (but not significantly lower in performance than most kitchen hoods of its production date).

More generically, one can expect to not get more than one pays for, and possibly less.

I think roaming the hood related topics here will reveal positive and negative comments directed at brands that may help your screening process.

You can sort wall-mount range hoods by "highest rated", "top-rated", and "customer rating" at build.com, Home Depot, and Best Buy respectively. Of course, you must specify size, finish, CFM, duct size/location, etc.
