Front Door Decisions!

Good Evening, Houzzers. Wondering if you creative minds can save the day again and help me out. Helping my parents with the design part of their very first extensive home renovation. Framing is complete and I now must pick a black-framed front door (36” x 96”) and two 14-inch sidelights for the front door. My contractor says I MUST choose Therma-Tru brand so the black frame matches the triangular transom window above the front door. I prefer a solid door with no glass or very little glass (for privacy and because there is already so much beautiful glass on this house that the front door should be a solid anchor).

We’d love a nice pop of teal or aqua—hoping to carry blues throughout the house. Contractor has $7000 allowance for front door (36”x96”), two 14-inch sidelights, 1 french door for access to back deck (36”x96” probably just simple black framed french door with all open glass) and one 14” sidelight). Please post pics of what you suggest.

Please see pic for our architect’s sketch (that glass door is just too matchy-matchy!) and some inspirational pics. Need frosted glass in sidelights but how to randomly introduce frosted when every other window inbthe house is clear? I’d love frosted glass with clear glass lines somehow etched in, creating a grid. I think? Please post pics of ideas. (Note: actual cedar siding will be much warmer wood color than in pic. Fyi)
