We recently had our mechanical room cleared out thanks to no more boiler and new on demand hot water tank. We'd like to make it nice in here for storage. We'd like shelves on the walls (left side). Any suggestions for types of shelving? We want something that's deep, about 16" and sturdy. Some options I've seen include:

1. White wire shelving
2. Wood boards
3. Fleximounts

Any recommendation here?

Additionally, we'd like to upgrade the floors. Expoxy would be nice. Is that something I could do on my own? Would their be a terrible chemical smell down there with minimal ventilation? This is in our basement there's no windows nearby.

Any other suggestions for the floors? I've considered:

1. Epoxy
2. Concrete Paint
3. Peel and stick floor tiles

Any suggestions? Regular tile feels like too much for right now. Sort of looking for a quick fix and may upgrade further in the future.
