First iMO there i s no indution range worth 14K and I think both look out of prportion as induction the La Cornue for sure . They were designed to be gas with the heavy functional burners . IMO the whole point of either of those ranges was also all gas . So now all you are getting is an overpriced electric range . So you have aninduction stove top now ? I will never go induction I love my gas range it functions for how I cook and I have 6K worth of pots that would not work on induction so never. But you are right in thinking function before pretty. Appliances are IMO bought first and foremost for how you cook.

Ranges depend your need. How you cook, what you cook. You don't buy them for "looks" you buy them for function, reliability and what best suits your appliance and kitchen budget in total.

Just wanted to point out that Induction cooktop is not the same as electric cooktop. They both use electricity but perform completely different. Induction is far superior to electric and in my opinion also beats gas. I don’t know anything about La Cornue, but I loved my Wolf, but I am not a caterer like Patricia.
