You need to call a contractor or two and get an estimate from them. We have no way of knowing what things cost in your area. All areas of the country, are much different.

Are you planning a lot of DIY or will you get a contractor who will have a full time supervisor on the job? Will you want perfection in the drywall and custom trim, a $200 toilet or one that costs $1245, with an equally pricey sink and a custom built vanity? Is the concrete floor painted by you with epoxy paint or are you expecting $185 per tile floor laid by a master tile installer? We don’t know if you want to add an egress window or is this a walk out basement with existing floor to ceiling windows. I am not trying to be difficult, only trying to urge you to do some shopping for the materials and design you are wanting to include. As I always told my children, everyone has a budget. Some people have a bigger budget and some have a smaller. A beautiful, functional space can be constructed, but do your preliminary work by finding the look you want in a space that will give your family the space for their favorite activities.

We paid a window guy 1800 cash for 4 very small windows (large enough to fit out in an emergency) and a flooring guy 7K for dropfit vinyl tile..In total with paint, trim, lights etc. we are at about 12K.
