Hi, the wife and I are deciding on tile for our new master suite. We could use some input on the shower tile. We're going for a contemporary / chic styling, preferring simple but sophisticated over flashy or trendy.

What we've decided on (click links for photos):

• Floor tile: Renova Black (12x24 floor tile, 2x2 mosaic in shower floor).
• Paint color: Sherwin "High Sierra" on main walls, "Succulent" accent wall behind freestanding tub.
• Finishes: Matte black
• Room layout: See photo at end, or this render which the room layout was inspired from (we're not tiling all of the walls, don't reference the finishes in this render).

What we need advice on:

We found the tile "Arkistone" which is available in a smooth (in 12x24 and 24x48) or a herringbone texture (in 12x24 only). We both like the look of the textured tile, the way the light catches it at different angles is interesting, but at least from a distance is a fairly subtle texture. We are looking at both the "light gray" and "greige" both are warm colors in the off-white range.

1. I go back and forth worrying the herringbone textured tile will either be boring as the only tile in the shower, or that the texture will be too much on all of the shower walls.
2. Does this shower call for an accent wall? If so, I would lean towards repeating the floor tile (12x24 or 2x2 mosaic) on the back shower wall (the one with the shower head on it).
3. Would you do anything differently?
