I like much simpler tiles for small spaces and do 12 x24 porcelain tile for both bathroom floors and shower walls to keep it simple . I find the simpler the tiles the longer it look s good and makes it easy to change decor in the space . I find that tile very busy even to look at on that floor and for sure not with the marble walls.

I do think it’s personal preference - I prefer a quieter look in small spaces and I agree with Patricia it tends to age better. But if you love that tile (and it’s appropriatley rated for floor use) then I would say go for it, just keep all the other finishes else ultra simple

I would look at other tile because with that pattern the room width may not give adequate space to see the pattern enough.

Do you have access to an actual tile? If not, blow up the photo so that you can replicate the image at 8 x 8. Then…make lots of copies. Lay them out on your floor. Do you plan on doing the tile on the diagonal, as shown in your inspiration photo. Go to the narrowest part of your room and lay out the pattern. Repeat. In other words, see how this looks on the diagonal in a very narrow space. How much of the pattern will you see? Where will YOU get a sense of the pattern in your room. The inspiration shows a lot of tile that stands alone in front of the tub, etc. Do you have a similar space that will show off the pattern? I think that you might be better off with a smaller tile with this same sort of pattern for your space, if the pattern is something that you like. (I would probably go smaller anyway, pattern or no pattern.)

Here’s another way the tile could be laid.

Your room measurement is not the same as your floor measurement because the tub/shower will take up a chunk of floor space. Count how many tiles you can actually use in the floor space and consider if it will reveal enough pattern to your liking. Here are some other small baths with larger black and white pattern tiles.

@ptreckle makes a good point. Can you try to replicate the size of the pattern in your small bathroom?

If it overwhelms your space, would another black and white tile work for you, or is it this particular one that won you over? @Kendrah’s posts are great looking too. And b&w bathrooms are classic and versatile.

I like patterned floors in small spaces because they can make them look more adorable. But too big a pattern looks like you borrowed your 6’8” brother’s jacket.

I like it just not with that wall tile. What would you put on the walls?

Is each tile 8" x 8", or is that the size of the pattern?

The pattern will be on the diagonal if the tiles are laid straight.
