I did not know that if you cancel a streaming service that when you come back to it that your saved shows would still be there. If that is the case then it makes sense to do as you described.

I alternate but we have more than one at once. As long as we're regularly watching something on the channel I keep it. When we aren't I cancel. Netflix keeps your history for nine months.

I like British mysteries, so I alternate between Acorn and Britbox.

That seems too complicated for me.

And each time I tried to cancel my Hulu account in the past, they offered me another month for free.

I subscribe to Acorn and Britbox through my A Prime account, and it's easy to cancel and then resubscribe.

I do the same as Terriks - I alternate b/w Acorn, Britbox and PBS Masterpiece (offers a lot of foreign programs). I subscribe via my Prime account and just cancel/resubscribe thru Prime. I also occasionally subscribe to Apple TV, originally so I could watch Ted Lasso, then canceled until the last season came out then H and I binged and canceled.

Seems like a pain to me. we have 3 services for around $20/month, plus we have prine. Two of the services (hulu and netflix) we got at lower rates by signing up for a year. We dont have cable and im fine with $20 a month.

I cancelled Prime last year, then Hulu...and now we have a Paramount subscription...which also includes Showtime.

We had Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and Apple. The Disney+ and Apple were leftovers from an Iphone promotion that kept creeping up in cost. We dropped them in early November. A couple of weeks later we were offered Hulu for .99 per month for six months. I did want to watch Only Murders so we signed up for it.
