House size doesn't determine desirable CFM. The hood size (overlapping the expanding cooking plumes, and the plume velocity that must be entrained into the baffle flow, determine CFM. Plume velocity is related to pan contents and temperature. And hood CFM must be matched, more or less, by the make-up air flow rate. This topic appears here with great frequency, and previous answers should be reviewed.

thank you, I was mostly wondering about the Proline hoods in general. I saw a discussion dated 12 years ago mentioning Proline but thought things might have changed since then. I think 1200 is probably too much but we can always use it on a lower setting..
