I picked a handful of different shapes today. i like the contrast they provide in the garden.

Solar Blast is a wild double. No two blooms are ever the same.

Faber Saber blooms take on different shapes every day.

    Divine Design sepals always curl.

Dances With Giraffes, is this considered a cascade bloom?

Free Wheelin, these blooms are huge. It is a favorite here.

I like some UF's but usually in others gardens. My only UF is Rudy's Sister, which I've posted earlier.......So the ones I like in your alls gardens are:.......Debra: All American Chief always ranks high on my UF appreciation list, but further up the list is Ocean Spirit which has a shot at someday being ordered by me if I find room. Also a great picture of Wigglesworth. The name alone makes me smile.......... Sherry: Dances with Giraffes is eye catching in your photo. Free Wheeling is another nice one that I've seen in person. I think it may fade in our heat unfortunately........David: I've heard good things about Isabelle Rose and it looks good for you. Sorry about Dances With Giraffes not being your kind of color. For me that's half of it. I do like those medium warm yellows..........Maryl

Maryl - Don't you still have Miss Goldie Gold Digger? I didn't get a picture of mine last season. I have a lot more UFs than I posted, but I didn't seem to photograph a lot of them last season. I think I was too busy photographing seedlings.

Here's a few of mine, not sure if they were in another category already or not. Trying not to be repetitious.

    Desert Icicle

    Karen's Curls

    Lake Norman Spider

    Orchid Corsage

    Bali Watercolor x Sugar Magnolia

    So Lovely x North Wind Dancer 1 & 3

VT Fondly Kin x Wind Frills

    Wilson Spider x Carmen Renee

    That's all for now.

Debra: No, I don't have Miss Goldie Goldigger any longer. It was gifted out. It bloomed late enough in the season to get the full brunt of our heat so unfortunately was bleached out most days by mid afternoon. I also don't care for the UF habit of higgledy piggledy petal arrangement- one up, one down etc. (I like stiff petals arranged symmetrically ). I think in your milder summers it holds up better for you though. I still like seeing yours when she is blooming. The color is what drew me to her to begin with. I tried another Davisson with a similar color called Working Overtime and had the same problems and objections so it too is gone .....Maryl

Maryl - It's too bad Miss Goldie's color didn't hold in your heat. Your summers are usually hotter than mine.

Sherry - Yes, Dances With Giraffes has a cascade form. I love that form the most.

David - I think Isabelle Rose is my favorite of yours.

Brad - Wilson Spider X Carmen Renee has such beautiful colors!
