Have your guests complained? It's got a nice spa atmosphere. I think it is rather nice, but I would prefer a proper sink which might require a new counter depending on measurements. The vanity as a whole is a little impractical but fine for irregular use.

An earthy wall covering on the end wall might be nice. Grasscloth? Mural?

Totally agree with Ira , it looks rather new. Especially for a guest bathroom. Agree the back wall needs a wallcoving , something fun !

Iri, thank you for your input! No one has complained. The counter length is 10' 10", so very long. We have thought of grasscloth but not a mural.

Diane, thank you for your input. It's almost 20 years old. The flooring is new, though. It had been an outdated stone.

If you go with grass cloth, opt for faux as the real stuff could mildew.

Just a note that changing the tile in the shower impacts waterproofing, so it's not a cosmetic tile change but likely a total gut - if you're not having any issues with the shower then it's a bit of a risk to find tile pros to make the change and do a good job (pros are harder and harder to come by these days)

if it were me, I would leave the shower and focus on simplifying and updating the vanity wall -- it's a nice big space

Thank you. We do have a contractor that we trust and has done a lot of work for us, including tile. But yes an important consideration.

I agree that it’s nice already. To freshen it up, I’d change the mirror, lights, and add art and a rug.
