May I ask what is the white/SS appliance sitting on the countertop between the sink and stove? I have never seen anything like that before.

Thermomix. We do not use it a lot but it was a wedding gift so had it for a few years

@ca929 sure. I tried to stay as much as I can within the insurance payoff and we were pretty sure our kids would vandalize any kitchen, so chose many budget-friendly options

1. Cabinets are Chinese stock cabinets from a local store which has been used by many flippers and renovators in the area for the past 7-8 years. They ended up 2.5 times as cheap as Lowe’s under 30% discount. Less sizes and options though
2. Quartz is from them as well. I really love Calacatta miragio duo but again way more expensive

I think all together for this part (we ran floors all over the main level so it added up) we were at $33k or so. I removed cabinets myself to donate, GC and found all subcontractors. (I would use a contractor but the guy we chose had a last minute issue and could not do it)

Thanks for all positive comments about chair colors. My spouse was not crazy about them. But I felt otherwise too monochromic. I since added a turquoise bread box and plan to eventually update microwave to a smaller one in retro style (we barely use it for some reheating as air fryer with oven function is way more convenient)
