We have decades of experience with different homes having many KA appliances, and any time we’ve had an issue we’ve found their customer service to be great. We just finished building our forever home and we ended up going with KA for our fridge and dishwasher. (I’ve had KA double ovens in the past and I liked them a lot, but we went with a bluestar range this time. This is our 2nd KA fridge though.)

I wouldn't panic if I were you. Every brand has some bad reviews. People are more likely to take the time to complain if they're PO'd by the problems. People who are happy with their appliances aren't as likely to take the time to give glowing reviews. You could switch brands and just being going from the frying pan into the fire.
