Just a quick thought, and trying to squeeze 20# into a 10# bag:

The washer and dryer face the bathroom. I wouldn’t even bother with a closet for it, though that is what I drew, just put it in a niche. (But, if you put a door on the back side, facing the bedroom, it will be easy to access the back of the machine for service and duct cleaning!) ,Only added one closet though, by the bathroom. Oh, and turned the bathroom door to open in.

Thanks, that is a nifty layout for bathroom. My thought is to get rid of closets at the bottom of the photo and put bed there, since that would allow for a king bed and two small nightstands. But then I really need more storage somewhere.

I read again and see that no you don’t want to move the door. That really hinders things.

Lastly - I’m not 100% sure if a 42” vanity is right - you’d want the closet shown below it to be deep enough for hanging and with the window and radiator location - the space is what it is and that would be the vanity size. So somewhere 36”-42” I imagine.

Thanks! That’s an interesting idea! To the extent it matters/helps, I’m fine to move windows and the radiator.

Outside this room is the kitchen and dining area, so moving the door into the bedroom is a hard no.

From a budget perspective moving the windows and radiator is $$! I don’t think it gains you much other than a bigger bathroom where you might be able to squeeze a stacked mini W/D - but then the aisle space by the bed shrinks even more (with radiator right next to bed)….also, you have to think about what the exterior would look like with the asymmetry - so, I don’t think any major architectural shift makes sense (other than the entry to the room so 🤷‍♀️).
