Right now, the first thing that does not belong on a coffered ceiling, is a ceiling fan.

Take more pictures of the room to tell us what room this is, bedroom, living room etc. and let us know whether you like modern, traditional etc.

Take pics of the whole space and define what it is you want to do. Post here in comments DO NOT start another post. Context is everything.

This is our living room. The house is an open floor plan. I just think this is weird. use beams or don’t. ive thought about painting the faux beams the dark color of our mantle and kitchen caninets, but that doesn’t give the right vibe. i I’ve ththought about molding but dont know where and how much to do. ive even considered drywalling the stupid thing in. Im not a fan of the fan, but it stays.

I missed that but you are right no real info as Jan also stated .If you satrt a post with the things you don't want to change then we are stymied from the start. Why keep the fan ? If you do not like the fake beams remove them what else do you want from us you have thought about other options and decided they don't work.
