A light buff the color of the body of the tile. What brand of grout does your tiler use?

a smokey gray, I too wonder what brand grout you will be using.

I would try to find something that will not highlight the gap...

Your tile has vast color variations from one piece to the next. As you search for less sticky outty, remember to color test your grout samples in tons of places so you see how it looks against all the different colors. When you land on the one, have your installer make a mock up board using varies tiles and the same sized grout lines.

I suspect some shade of grey will do the trick.

It looks like your installer did a VERY nice job. Handmade tiles require higher skill level, and larger joints to avoid lippage.

Your tile also reads a bit green to me so consider someting with a grey/green tinge for grout.

If your tiler continues to be this good, you will be happy.

I think you will need to test some gray / green grouts to make this work. I agree the tiler did an awesome job now just relax and work on getting the best color grout to blend with the tile

If you went to a tile store and saw a sample board that you liked, the grout brand and color should be listed on the sample board. If you are going off pictures, no such luck. But it’s beautiful tile!!🙂

It looks great. Your rightmost sample board isn't bad, really, but like you said, it doesn't minimize the lines. I think that is okay, though. I like the vertical orientation with the wider grout lines. Perhaps a shade or two darker, more like the color of the floor tile?

More so in a handmade non-rectified tile.

Thank you for the helpful comments! What do we think of warm grey by mapei? It’s definitely darker than either of my sample boards (frost and avalanche) and is what I’m using on floor tile. I know, I know, mock it up, I will! Any other mapei grouts I should try?

Have a look at Mapei Frost - its a light grey - goes with a lot of colours and may work here. If not, maybe a slightly warmer grey like Mapei biscuit would work. Or it may need a little more grey in colour - something like sea salt or rain from Mapei.

Ideally you want it to blend in and basically look like a shadow line, not to contrast and stand out.

@mvcanada thank you! Yellow circle is frost. I don’t hate it but feel like I should probably go a bit darker to blend it more

Have you seen the Sea Salt in person? Otherwise, I agree a bit more color would be good -- maybe Castle Wall or Silver? The little sample bars are far easier to work with than the chip chart...

WarmGray is a good choice. I used it in the FlexColor CQ in my shower

with your color tile I think it's an excellent choice. (for floor tiles too)

Both of those sample boards are too bright, too white.

don't like the warmer, yellow tones. not w/your tile choice.

and dont' stress about the grout width. your tile guy did a nice job. any closer joints and the lines would have been wavy
