Usually Houzz avoids recommending mirrors in a dining room--do you want to be seen with food in your mouth--but maybe an exception here since you have a window right there and might want to reflect the window light or at night your exceptional pendant. The kitchen is beautiful, but maybe needs something unexpected like an vintage authentic or reproduction smoked mirror. Here's one with a vintage feel from Pottery Barn. Your kitchen is so lovely , Amy ! You’ve done a beautiful job. Even though the back is not full height on it, I really like the first “Molly” stool which HU18728210 suggested. Your light fixture is fabulous! Would you please share the details of your wonderful flooring and the gorgeous countertop?

I like your table and chairs as they are. However, as an alternative, I might add a rustic, small, light colored cloth square on the table top - one that would still show the wood top at the edges. Also, to lighten the feel of the dining area, while tying together some of your brown and black tones, you might swap out the chairs for something like these.

You may want to consider swivel stools. They’re less likely to be pulled away from the counter, leaving the walkway clear.
