Help me decide on a new roof

We recently moved into a Tutor home with an old shake shingle roof. We thought we had until the summer to replace it but our insurance is canceling us in a month if we don’t replace immediately (or at least have something on order)
Our last home we had an Owen Corning Onyx Asphalt shingle roof. Due to hail in Denver we had quite a bit to repair it.
I’d like to potentially change the color of our stucco and trim, and maybe even soften the stone a bit, but I’m. It sure that we have the ability to do that near term. So I need to plan for what looks good with this color scheme as well as whatever want in the future (lighter, brighter, darker trim and darker door)

Would love to hear your thoughts? I can try to find out the names of what we’re considering too

You could go with stone coated steel or synthetic shakes.

If you cant afford to replace it with what it is, then I would go with the synthetic shakes. The color you have is very nice. Your stone is gorgeous, I would not do anything with that, and you can easily lighten or darken the stucco with the same color roof as you already have. Its a beautiful older tudor styled house. Congratulations on your new home. I actually love the color on the back, but, the front stucco looks a bit yellow, is it a different color.

Thank you! We love it too and want to do it justice, ie stay with the appropriate architectural style. I don’t think it’s a different color but rather is just how the light hits it.
Our insurance won’t cover us with a wood shake roof. I think staying with a shake shingle roof is the right thing to do, I’m just so worried it will look plastic-y.

Brava makes the nicest synthetic shake in my opinion. I wouldn't do a "shake asphalt shingle" if that is what you meant. Poor substitute. You can do either a steel roof in a shake profile, or the Brava. Both will be complimentary to the home.
