Advice for Houzz

Today, I got a refund for a product that I ordered that came damaged. The response was arrived in my email inbox within 24 hours from Houzz. It was great that my report and photographs on the defective product were processed so quickly and I was not required to return it. It was a do it yourself shelving item. A large, heavy box I had to have help with bringing into the house and the planned assembly. I had factored those things into planning But still, this has made unwelcome work for me. Is it just to become landfill somewhere. I suspect that this vendor has had issues before because the panels and shelves of this piece were packaged so minimally. I hope Houzz will eliminate vendors like this... whose packaging as well as products are not well made or well packaged. It is such a waste of time and resources. I wish I could donate it to a high school wood working class that could use it to try to repair and rebuild...but I don't have a car big enough to transport it to anyone and I don't know where there is a wood working class. What a dilemma a failed purchase like this can create. And as I said above, this has created unwelcome work for me now, how to get rid of it.
