It’s not working due it’s size, shape and with the chair’s fabric. From further back in your other post, you couldn’t really see the chair’s traditional style. Are you adding for usage or just aesthetics and wouldn't add a pouf unless you find one that works with the chair fabric and prorportions. If you just want to create interest add a lovely cushion or throw.

Cameras really are so confusing. The big pic of your room looks like cool colors, the pic with the pouf looks warm.

It's also a bit too rustic or casual for the other furnishings. One picture is all artificial light, the cooler picture is daylight with the recessed lighting on. That will change the way the entire room looks.

You would be better off with a slim bench at the foot of the bed. It could serve double duty. You could pull it over a bit when you want to put your feet up - if that is the reason for the pouf. The pouf is not working color, texture and style-wise, and it is also blocking the passageway; although you could keep a pouf next to the chair, when you are not using it. Maybe bring in the camel color that you mentioned you were considering (on another post you had about this room). A pouf or ottoman in a camel faux leather - or leather, if you prefer. And you could keep that piece next to the chair when not in use, so it doesn’t block the passage. Or again, you could alternatively get a slim bench for foot of bed. You could consider the camel color for that, too.

There are some advantages to having a legged bench at foot of the bed. Some designers prefer using a bench with legs there. I do, too.

I believe a bench at end of bed may not be as practical for putting your feet up to read, as it might be too high for comfort and you’ll also have to be pulling it back and forth. If too small/short on the other hand, it could feel lost placed there. Maybe just add a foot stool that that can be tucked away on the side when not in use.

Could test a smaller sized ottoman (buy locally to make a return easier) as it would be more comfortable and proportionate with your chair (if important) and consider its potential for book storage. Can your chair be pulled towards the window slightly and turned on a bit more of a slant if needed?

You mentioned you preferred Amazon and maybe try Wayfair also - your pictures have variations in chair’s colors, so hard to recommend. Maybe add a throw or cushion to create a nice vignette. If having a hard finding the perfect shade, you could change the cushions on the bed to open up more options.

She won’t have to pull it too far... And if she wants to, she can get a lower bench...

Obviously an ottoman is also an option... But a bench is absolutely an option, too - and the OP has expressed interest in that option. So it is up to OP what she chooses, as it is her bedroom. Telling her that a bench will not work is inaccurate. She will also have to move the ottoman back and forth too - or it could be a tripping hazard. She will need to station it next to the chair when not in use - so what is the difference? She could easily sit in the chair and slide the bench over.

It would be helpful to see the rest of the room, as well as measurements, for this thread or the next one you start.

Anyway, I can’t see anything working size-wise other than a pouf or very small ottoman that can easily be moved around as needed. But again — we’re only seeing one angle.

I’m guessing the far left door is the door to the hall and the others are closets? Could you move the chair towards the window a bit more and angle it more towards the dresser? Hope that makes sense.

then you decide what you are willing to pay. Add a throw if you want some pattern or some deeper blue! Good lordy , not that hard: )

That's a definite return. There is plenty of good advice here to guide you in a better direction. Not much else I can add.

Just a thought about pulling anything back and forth across carpet/rug - doesn't seem like it would move easily unless it had wheels, and could damage the rug over time too.

And from the alt. view Jilly posted, it looks like the chair could be closer to the window, if desired.

The chair is really nice and makes quite a statement with the high back. It is also elegant. A rectangle ottoman in a solid bold deep colour would look great, perhaps in an upholstered jewel tone like burgundy or teal or blue. The ottoman you chose is nice too, however it is more of a casual, even bohemian style. I don't think it's a good fit for the style of chair you have chosen, I think it competes with the chair instead of complementing it. It would be better matched with a different type and look of chair. Hope this helps.
