Wall paneling window trim

I want to do wall paneling on our bedroom wall as an accent. I was thinking of doing square paneling, incorporating the windows, and painting a dark blue. What should I do with the window trim? Do I keep it white or integrate it into the paneling?

I don't understand the allure of wall paneling that seems the fad right now. Are you looking for something like the photo below?

If you go for it, paint the window trim the same as the wall. However, your bedroom is really lovely already. At first glance I thought it was an inspiration pic you were posting.

I wouldnt add paneling either. Its a beautiful room, just as it is. However, if you must, then you also need to remove the window trim, and panel up to the window frame, and then put on a shim piece all the way down and put the window trim back on. I would paint it to match the paneling, if you do that. I would like to see some curtains on the windows though, to give the room more interest.

Maybe paneling below the windows…where the blue background will accentuate all the white elements…not overwhelm the room

I see no reason for that wall to have any other thing on it . That is a pretty space If you want more formal feel to work with the headboard I would add drapes on either side on the windows in a faux silk in blue I would like to change the shades on the lamps to white too.I would also do wider nighttables that would line up with the windows and some pretty bedding

I agree with others, your wall would look too busy with paneling. But I do like your idea of painting the wall blue, and I would paint the window frames to match. Your lampshades are the only cream thing in the room; they would look better in white or light blue. Could we see the rest of the room please?

I don't think I would do paneling, but if I did I would remove the casing on the window completely and integrate the windows into the design with the same trim used for the entire wall.

Our entire house is painted this wall color (drift of mist). I love it but it's also a lot. I artificially brightened that photo so the lamp shades look darker than they are in reality. I originally had white but they looked too stark next to the beige headboard. The rest of the room.

And the headboard wall without messing with the color.

Also new nightstands are on the list but I haven't been able to pull the trigger on the ones I want, or finding ones that I like that aren't super expensive. Have a hard time justifying $1700 on one nightstand.

Duvet cover isn't on the bed but it's a white waffle pattern. We have a large blue lumbar pillow, a blue quilt that's usually on top of the duvet but isn't right now, and our accent pillows are Annie selke Ines blue pattern.

The dresser was custom finished in a dark blue and we have a bench that's a slightly teal blue. Our bathroom vanities are painted SW Tempe Star.
