Attic "stairs?"

I live in an older house and we have an attic. The stairs for the attic that pull down from the ceiling and fold are not quite "stairs" but are much larger than a ladder. Each "step" is roughly 18" wide by 6" deep. This makes it fairly easy to climb up and down.


Does anyone know if someone manufactures attic stairs/ladders that have steps this wide and deep these days at a reasonable price? In my searching, I could find what look like thin/narrow ladders without hand rails and then extremely overbuilt stairs that cost $7-8k.


Would love advice from this group if anyone knows of something better!!!
