rug/runner/mat choice for off centre front hall

Our front hallway progressively gets narrower with the closet and then the bathroom - it’s quite long and I think looks a bit empty without something on the floor (particularly since we don’t love the tile) but not sure how to place it given the awkward positioning. Any advice much appreciated!!

How about one sideways right in front of the door and then a long runner down the area where it narrows?

You might look at placing a small rug right in front of the door, and then maybe a slightly larger one in front of the console table. It doesn't look like you'd need another one after that.

It isn't the need of a rug that makes me comment. It is the the front door and the one with the security lock that spoils the feel of the space. You need a better front door and a review of the security door.
