Posting some pictures would help so we can see the color tone of your wood floors and surrounding spaces. Personally I'd do the island and the second set of cabinets the same color as each other rather than having 3 cabinet colors. (Or paint the island White Dove and keep the 2nd set wood, if the wood is nice.)

Ok, I took photos. There’s so much to decide and change. I’m working on painting the ceiling medallion too-White Dove. I feel the cabinets are so stark white but wonder if when the other wood cabinets are painted a dark gray, and getting knobs of that could be better. Gold knobs? Especially of paint the other cabinets a darker gray? Need ideas. The window is a lake. East side of lake.

Lots of different colors going on. I would paint it to match the white on the other cabinets.

However, I would paint all the cabinets Bromley Taupe. It matches that granite you have quite well. I have a similar granite in my basement that had cherry cabinets circa 2005. Seems like the kitchen is the same vintage.

You are saying you’d paint the island white and then the unpainted cabinets the Bromley Taupe?

What do you think about me painting the island white like the cabinets and the unpainted cabinets would be one of these:

Can’t see the countertop very well but grey doesn’t sound good. Perhaps more of a soft taupe for island and use same white as cabinets for the unpainted cabinets. Countertop looks nice. When budget allows consider changing the backsplash to a more neutral shade.

Perhaps explore doing the unpainted cabinets the same White Dove. If you have the budget to update the countertop then there will be many more options to consider for perimeter cabinets vs the island color. For example, a black soapstone counter could be nice and not so busy which will give more options to change up the backsplash. Guess you need to decide how much you want to invest in this update. Stuff like changing cabinet knobs and accents can come later.

Paint all the white cabinets to match the ones that are already painted, so the kitchen looks more cohesive. Paint the island, the color of your choice, that will go with the rest of the kitchen. Having one side wood, or another color, looks like the kitchen was done piecemeal, rather than all at one time.

Are we forgetting about the floors? Haven’t looked up all the colors, but the floors read golden on my screen, so to me it’d be important to bring in paint samples (Samplize or whatever) in neutrals of colors that bridge of work with counters AND floors. True taupes would not work with golden floors, but you can’t go by the paint names.

This is in order of how much you want to spend to update.

1.) Paint all the cabinetry the same color. Optional to paint the island cabinetry another color.
2.) Change the counter tops, sink and hardware
3.) leave the floors alone unless you go through a full remodel with new cabinets. The details on your current cabinets are dated so save the floors for down the line when you go through a full remodel.
