Kathy you & Saija posted as I was posting.

Beautiful Stained Glass Kathy. Mine was just getting quite nice then the next year it was gone like it never existed.

    I really like Spritzer Saija.

Seducer - never grew well for me so after 5 years I finally moved it in 2022. I think its happier now.

Silver Eagle - looks better in person. Planted in 2021 - I think it will start strutting this year.

Spartacus - Looked better the previous year.

Silver-Tongued Devil - Did not do well in the ground after two years so moved into a pot.

Stag's Leap - Keeps looking better every year. Year three is looking good on it.

Star-Kissed - a favorite find from the tables at LotG (Have I mentioned how much I like the subtle variegation before?). I don't think it likes being so close to the Northish side of the house. It gets some mid morning direct sun before total shade.

Sugar and Spice is happily growing in year two (next to Prestige and Promise - and Leather and Lace not seen on the other side).

Sugar Plum is a classic (How About That).

Sultans of Swing should be in its Prime (Meridian) but just slowly swinging along.

peren.all - your stained glass just disappeared? Yikes! Maybe something snacked on it underground during your cold Canadian winter? I hope my SG survives - I had to pull out some other plants to make room for it. The other plants weren’t doing well so no loss there but I’d be very sad if this one Hosta doesn’t do well. I have to make hard choices when choosing new perennial or evergreen plants - my yard is fully planted and so my space is limited - especially as my established plants grow. These limits make me pretty ruthless when deciding to pull out a plant that is not performing to its ’potential’. I lost a 3.5’ Hinoki shrub to our recent epic freezing rain & ice - too many of its upward growing branches broke right off at the trunk making it look horrible. I was so sad over that but now am looking forward to a new planting opportunity! Life. lemons & lemonade attitutde you know!

Uh-oh, poor Nanna! Good timing to get that beautiful dessert scene with the shadow.

The S hostas are a big bunch. So many pretty ones!

Beth, I like the angle you photographed your Sagae. You found Sharp Dressed Man! I’ve looked for that one on and off and haven’t found it yet.

Saija, your Smiling Mouse is such a cutie! Spritzer is a pretty one.

KW, your Stained Glass is so bright. I wonder if it’s a good idea to move mine into more sun? The only good thing about losing plants is that we have space opened up for something new. That’s how I’m trying to look at my recent losses, too.

Laurie, your Sagae is on steroids, so big! I always adore your Smash Hit. I like how your astilbes look around your Snow Cap. I like the powdery blue look of Summer Squal.

Steve, your Seducer looks promising. I’ve had trouble with that one, too. Very stubborn about growing. Your Stag’s Leap has a beautiful form. Striking Legs on Sugar Plum.

Gary, good looking Satisfaction, and I like the wide margins on your Silk Road!

Ben, you can’t go wrong with Sagae. What a beautiful Sum and Substance.

Debra, too bad you lost your comments. There’s so many great looking hostas, it’s hard not to write a book. Your Snow Mouse is adorable. I almost ordered Summer Lovin, it’s a good one.

Sherry, shiny leaves are always welcome. Nice Sugar and Spice.

Shadow, I like the coloring on your Super Nova.

Silk Kimono I love the wavy leaves on this one.

Silver Shadow, this one had a hard time, but it's still here! A sport of Devon Green so it should be a shiny one.

old_dirt..for me “Every day is a Saturday” too..love it ❤️..I lose track of days too 😂..
I was thinking that S might be the biggest letter too..
does anyone know if the alphabet has a letter that’s a lot bigger than all of the others?..

Mbug, you have a good looking Snake Eyes.

Old_dirt, what a great picture of Sun Power. It’s glowing!

Ann, if you look at how many pages are in the hosta library that seems to be true about S for hosta names. I think we need more starting with N and Q to fill out our alphabet better.

And Silly String looks to me like it belongs under the sea, like we’re watching it moving with the waves.

sandyslopes..that’s a clever way to see which letter has a lot of hosta names!..S seems to be the biggest in the alphabet!..
some letters do need more names..

Steve Star-kissed really is a subtle beauty.

Kathy so sad you lost your Hinoki but I love your attitude! On to something new and exciting. There was no trace of disturbance in, under or around Stained Glass, just gone. I sometimes think certain Hosta do better a zone warmer than mine.

Here was SG the year before I lost it. I am sure yours will continue to thrive.

Gary the colour of Silver Anniversary is special.

    Ben great Snake Eyes.

Debra Speakeasy already is showing great traits. Your Silver Bay is looking terrific.

Sherry I adore your Sugar and Spice, it is gorgeous.

    Shadow Super Nova is beautiful.

Lisa I have always loved your Silk Kimono. Thank goodness it made it through!

mbug so many beauties but Sea Fire just leaps off the page. Silly String is very cool and Stag's Leap is fabulous.

Ann your S and S is so nice! You should post the rest of your S's!

old_dirt Sharp Dressed Man and Sun Power are such standouts.
