Paint it out?

That piece of molding is doing a nice job of hiding the join of the drywall, which you would have to then address.

The easy choice is paint it one or the other wall color better yet paint that whole wall one color.

What about Apricot or a pale blue?

We are changing the carpeting and fixing up that wall due to the poor drywall joints showing so obviously but as I know painting the whole wall is easiest, it also means repainting the whole upstairs wall, which is a job my husband really didn’t want to enter into. Funny, this project started out as just replacing the stair carpeting. Thanks for the feedback. I love this platform!

Found another idea. White chair rail might work!

Did the wood blend in? The lower wall and trim will be painted white

Ha ha, yes, sorry, I wasn’t explaining that too well. Now my dilemma is what size chair rail ? Large or same as the wooden one.
