We bought a 1957 ranch/back split that needs a top to bottom renovation inside and out. Starting with structural issues, so we need to make a bunch of choices about exterior color schemes to get the ball rolling. House is an an older neighborhood of mid-century ranch and split level homes. Tried Brick & Batten and it's been mixed if not disappointing because they didn't respond to points in the brief. So here's where we are now:

-Brick front and left side are most visible from the street, but front door is side facing under a porch
-Right side (enclosed carport garage) is fiber cement siding
-Back is siding up to and brick below, consistent with the mid-century models in the neighborhood and an adjacent historic preservation district
-Brick is in amazing condition so prefer not to paint it if I can avoid it
-Plan to build a deck off the back which will hide/cover a decent amount of that brick

2 options - go dark like the B&B mock ups, or stay light with siding/trim in similar tone to current but with darker wood accents on the front door, garage door, and back patio door.
-Either way, windows will be a dark brown (earthtone) or brown-black.
