Patio lantern size - help?

I need to replace five lanterns on my porch that are hanging by a thread. I know that wall lanterns around a front door should be 1/3 to 1/4 the height of the door… but I need five along a patio area where we dine
I’m planning to use the Bedford wall sconce in copper from Chapman and Meyers. Below are white cutouts of the two sizes I’m contemplating.
What do I do in this scenario?
