Well the white is only that same shade from that maker so what is your fridge, DW etc. IMO plainn old stainless is the beset it allows you to get appliances for how they work instaed how they match.

The whtie is SOOOO stark and blue cold. It's not friendly to any of the warm whties, as it makes them look yellow.

Thanks for the replies. I'm well aware of the issues with the white of GE Cafe. Last year we did a partial remodel of our kitchen. The built-in microwave and double oven were working well so we didn't replace them. They are built into a full-length bank of cabinets that you see as soon as you walk into the great room. They are the most prominent thing in the kitchen. We didn't replace the bank of cabinets because they are already in the most ideal layout for that area.

Recently, we started having issues with our oven so we decided to replace it. All of our other appliances have cabinet panels so the stainless steel appliances stick out like a sore thumb. i know the GE Cafe won't be the same white but they probably would be better than the stainless steel. I do plan to take a drawer to the showroom to see how big the difference is. I'm primarily concerned right now with the durability of the paint because my teenage son is like a bull in a china shop. I've gotten conflicting opinions from salespeople.

My husband and I like the design of the double oven. The location of the oven can be a choke point in the kitchen so having double doors will be great. My best friend has that oven and loves it. She's very particular and cooks a lot. If we don't get it in white we will get it in stainless steel.
