kitchen layout help

The wine refrigerator is next totally the refrigerator. Should the wine bar be moved to the left with the pantry? Ignore the island. It’s not the finished product. Thanks in advance.

I don't understand. Wine bar? Wine refrigerator? Please at least label your drawing.

Agree that your question/pix are not clear. Is your wine fridge as tall as the fridge or even taller? In my non professional opinion, that’s a lotta wine (refrigeration) in a moderately sized kitchen. Unless there is more kitchen you’re not showing?? What are your finished colors going to be? The darker color, very tall cabinets look imposing there.

I'm seeing an undercounter wine fridge with the counter and above the bar. I'd leave it next to the frig because it adds function for other uses involved with the refrigerator. If you added a micro on a shelf above the counter the space becomes another prep zone. I'd put a airfryer/toaster oven on the shelf instead.

I don't hate the wine fridge next to the regular fridge, but overall I'm not too enthused with the layout as shown for your kitchen (especially the island, which doesn't fit there). If you're ready for lots of feedback on your layout and can handle straight up criticism of the design, make a 2D drawing showing all the room dimensions, windows if any, adjacent rooms, then include your must-haves and your can't-be-moved lists, and we'll give you all the help we can.

I think the fridge should be closer to the sink. I know you said, "ignore the island," but the island is forming a barrier between the fridge and the sink. I think I would prefer that the fridge be next to the tall cabinets on the left and to have a longer expanse of countertop to the right of the fridge, if that is what you are asking. But again, I don't think you'll be happy with an island barrier between the fridge and the sink.

I’m planning a kitchen remodel too and adding a beverage center. We placed it on the outer edge of the kitchen so guests can easily access without getting in the cooking area. Not sure if wine should get the same consideration, but something to mention.

I would consider moving the island away from the stove (Toni front of pantry which will make the fridge to sink route more direct and would still serve as the wine bar. It also would work well for staging groceries or ingredients for/from the pantry and fridge. Will depend on how you will use your kitchen and what is going on (and how close) in adjacent space.

Keep 48 " in front of appliances you have to bend down inf ront of to access.

Example the fridge to load groceries & the range/stove to be able to bend down & get hot food out of.

In the images posted, it looks as though the island be more suitable as a prep island with no overhang seating.

It is not horrible there but if you entertain alot, then you will have people coming into your work zone. I would move it to where the pantries are and create a nice space there. You could keep a pantry ( narrower than what is there ) and have the wine / bev bar to the left of it.

It could just be how the renderings look, but how tight is that between the ref and pantries? Where does that go? You also need some space on either side of the hood.

I am just not a fan of glass by the cooking area - you have all the glass around the top.

Did you try a peninsula in this kitchen? The island feels very tight.

    Good luck!

its a perfect kitchen for a peninsula coming off the area to the right of sink.....youll get more and better stool use there.....they will face the stove wall w beautiful backsplash when you get to it ......better than being bumped by people at the fridge and better than staring at the sink. place the wine fridge on the outside of kitchen..where the pantries are. You will cut into pantry space but this is a windowless kitchen and you have tons of cabinets flanking all the walls.

here is a nice seating setup.....people can walk behind the stools .....create this coming from wall on right of sink.....extending toward pantry wall.

    Bat cave design.

I would only have the wine fridge next to the refrigerator if it’s half height with a counter above, and shelves above that. If it’s a full height wine fridge I’d intersperse one of the pantry cabs between it and the refrigerator.
