No one can give you advice on window coverings by looking at a floor plan. You need to show photos or elevations of the wall to get any information.

Sunlight breaks down the proteins in genuine silk. So I would not recommend that as a fabric for windows with a prolonged exposure.

What Diana said, but blinds as a rule say temporary just moved in are cold and lifeless. It's a fashion statement right now I understand. I just don't get it.

Drapes. Nothing else looks finished.

How can anyone opine on this? Either drapes or blinds could look great or absolutely awful. There's no context.

For sun control I would do slim Hunter Douglas Duette shades, preferably inside mounted. Get the automation option and you can program them to open/close when the sun starts to hit the windows and then open up again in the morning. You will barely notice them when open if you order them in a color that blends with your trim color.

You can then also do decorative stationary panels to add color/texture.

On what floor of the building is this located? How far above the sidewalk, etc.? I ask because while it might be “nice” for your window treatments on that side to all “match”, it might also not be critical. Oddly, you have more windows in the hall than in your living room. I would probably go for blinds on the “closet” windows, I am calling them. Do you have a door immediately off the foyer that shuts off that hall? Or is it further down the hall? I could see treating the window in the Foyer with a blind and draperies, emulating what you might decide to do on the living room’s windows. All the windows, I think, need NOT be identical in treatment. Functional blinds for the more private, functional space and blinds plus draperies for your more public space. I hope this makes sense.

If sun control is important, I think blinds or shades do a much better job than drapes......You can add drapes as well if you prefer the aesthetics.
