Consider finding a couple pieces of framed art like 20x20 to hang on the wall opposite garage door side. It’s lovely with that rug!

Your eye immediately is drawn to the lovely rug and beyond the arched entrance to your spacious and bright room, so suggest a space that feels minimal, but impactful.

You could add a tall arched mirror (given ceiling height) on the 81” wall, move rug down so it is centered and look for a long (6ft chain) chandelier. I think curves on both are good choices with the arched doorways and medallions in rug.

Rug is lovely. Would definitely consider a large art piece or mirror. Perhaps a long shelf on the long wall with a mirror over it. A basket or bowl to toss keys etc in.

Even a narrow console will still be 10" deep and too big for the space. Plenty of room for art and a mirror.

I though about it some more, and the problem isn't the width of the foyer, but the fact that you have the door swinging into the space and it is your main guest entrance.

I have a hallway that is 57" wide and I have 10" deep Asian shelf unit, that is also tall. There is plenty of room to walk by, but it is a side hallway leading to the master bedroom, with no doors and no groups of guests trying to come through the space.

I wouldn't want an entry without a table, even if just for outgoing mail and a welcome lamp. You just have to hunt -- at a minimum there are wall shelves 4" deep that could be made to serve the purpose. But a hunt for a shallow console should find results.

Looks like an expenzive rug why not hang it on the wall and get a plain one that can handle the traffic . It is such a formal space I cannot imagine coat hooks there for sure . Do you have a coat closet nearby? I do not think a 10" deep shelf will work maybe a tiny little wall mounted dshelf for keys . The new light should be fabulous in that space so do that first then see what else you need maybe even a linear style light .The cutout above the door is a bit unesccessary isn't it , I find it takes away from any of the fixtures you could choose.

In my design projects with narrow entrances and halls, I have found vintage cabinets with doors (not drawers) and had my cabinetmaker remove the back, cut to 10" to 12" deep and reinstall the back. You can achieve a lovely entrance anchored with something special. Then add art, lighting sconces and accessories. The pic below is an Anthropologie cabinet that is unfortunately discontinued, but you get the idea.
