Could you get by with one less chair? You could put the two matching chairs at opposite ends of the sofa and put the other one somewhere else. A long, rectangular coffee table under which the 2 ottomans would fit when you needed extra seating? Or, does your fireplace use wood or gas? If gas, the fireplace screen could be removed (it sticks into the room) and the 2 ottomans placed in front of it.

I think it already looks quite nice, but the lack of color would be depressing to me. I think it needs some life, vibrancy...either with art or decor or pillows or all three.

Agree- my goal is to transition it to a blue white gold color theme. I have never been a gray person and my daughters moved me to this color theme as they convinced me it was more of an updated look but I agree with you!
I have this dead space behind those 2 matching chairs which puzzles me and I have tried many layouts but nothing looks just right with having the tv/fireplace focal point on the one end and not being center in the room

A little confusing.. 20x18.. ?..that is almost square..posting a floor plan will help.. as the pictures really just give partial views
