fireplace doors.

I am tired of looking at the 30 year old brass doors on my fireplace. They feel
outdated. I want to replace the fireplace doors with black ones, but I am afraid that I will lose the contrast that the brass doors provide against the black marble they are mounted on. The hearth is also black marble. Should I leave the brass doors or replace with black ones?

There are any number of finishes that can work other than polished brass.
